Someday …

Someday a sixteen year old came to Mark Twain and said:
“I cant get on with my father anymore. We argue everyday. He is so backward.
What shall I do?”
Mark Twain considered briefly and then he said:
“My friend, i can understand you well. When i was sixteen years old, my father was just as uneducated. But you need to be patient with him. After ten years, when i was 26 years old, he had learned so much, that you could already have a pretty good conversation with him. And, if you believe it or not – today, at 36, i ask my old father, if i do not know what to do. That’s how much he has changed.”
