Billy Graham (1918-2018)

Someday you will read or hear that Billy Graham is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it. I shall be more alive than I am now. I will just have changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God.

Here are some of Billy Graham’s statements:

“[…] success is always dangerous, and we need to be alert and avoid becoming the victims of our own success. Will we influence the world for Christ, or will the world influence us?”

“I am more concerned with mini-morals than I am with mini-skirts.”

“There are storms in your own life: storms of temptation, confusion, and difficulty…
An uneasy conscience says, ‘Stop before it is too late!'”

“Children do need the guidance of their parents, and we guide them more by the example we set than by any other way. We need to be firm and sane and fair and consistent—and, above all, we need to discipline in a spirit of love.”

“Courage is contagious. When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are stiffened.”

“Tears shed for self are tears of weakness, but tears shed for others are a sign of strength.”
